The owner was friendly and helpful. The hotel was centrally located and the room was comfortable, modern and very clean. Like the refridgerator in the room.
No staff on site upon arrival/check out. But the bar downstairs can call for you if you ask.
The manager (= boss) is real friendly and helpful. He waited for us even though we checked in very late that evening. He introduced the Sorrento town to us very patiently; his recommendation of dining place, travelling sites are all excellent. Really want to visit him again - the real nice boss.
The owner was really helpful and gave great advice. The rooms were modern, spacious and clean. The location was central and allowed us to walk easily to the bars and cafes of Sorrento as well as the local train that gave access to Pompeii and Naples.
Only negatives were the lack of a kettle in the room and the pillows were really firm!
Balcony overlooked square and was a good base for sightseeing and shopping. Room was excellent, clean and well serviced daily.
Once inside, the hotel is really beautiful. The rooms are large and comfortable. The internet was free and accessible. There was a fridge you can use, and a nice balcony.
The hotel staff is not present. The owner/manager also owns another business and you must call upon arrival so that he can come check you in. Those traveling without phones might find an issue here.
It was excellent! In the city centre, big room, massage shower, fridge, even free safe for the price of hostel! Staff was friendly, good english speaking and very helpful. Definitely will stay there if ever come to Sorrento again.
I was told there is a detla Airlines in naples dont think so, had to go on to Rome more $ and Time wasted, the owner tried his best to take care of my sick wife Just don't trust anyone at face value, make sure the facts are true or u will pay more for not knowing
We stayed in room 106, which seemed to be the roomiest of all six, b/c it was the corner unit with wraparound balconies. It had wood floors and was furnished with a queen bed, sofa bed, desk and mini-fridge, plus two large windows looking out onto a piazza. After a day of sightseeing, it was nice to sit on the bed and look out onto scenic views of Sorrento. The bathroom was comfortably large with nice tiles throughout, the shower had a main showerhead along with six body jets, and the bath towels were thick and beachsized. Overall, the room was very clean and spacious, and we were super pleased with its value and location. As others have noted, there is no reception desk so the nice lady at Bar Diana next door will ring Rosano for you and he will arrive in 5 minutes. Rosano was very helpful with local info and was a great host.
Because the hotel is located on a somewhat busy street, staying there during the weekend means you should bring ear plugs. Although we didn't have a problem Thursday night, Friday and especially Saturday night translated into lots of loud Italians right below our windows. The noise didn't die down until around 2am even though the hotel's windows are super thick and insulated. We don't fault the hotel for this issue so potential visitors just need to be prepared and plan accordingly.
The value for the area and the was great!
It was a little further to walk from the train station with luggage then we expected. The description said it was really close to the station but it is still a 15 min walk.
After calling the owner a few times to get precise location, he was on the sidewalk to welcome us!! (BTW, the name of hotel was in blue (logical and nice) facing people as they walk from the stazione. On the Sorrento main street. The housekeeper(s) were very nice.
Colazione non era inclusa nel prezzo.
Exelent location on the main street of the city close to shops, bars. Not far from public transport station. It takes at least 15 min to get to the beach.
Hotel could't offer breakfast because of dinning room absence. Nevertheless the is a small bar on the ground floor of the building were you could get toasts and coffee. There is no full-time reception in the hotel, thus you should call receptionist mobile phone if there is a need in it.
Fairly affordable, convenient location to reach main atractions
Rosano was an excellent manager, but I think the hotel should have a proper reception when someone will be able to assist tourists any time. Also, we were a bit dissapointed that breakfast was not provided. For a rate of 106 euro per night one expects to have breakfast included - not sure if this was a space problem, since the reception was also missing. Internet access was not available either, even though Rosano did try to give us some details to access a wi-fi version, that did not work on our phone. The first triple room we were given was very noisy at night because of the refrigerator in the store below, but we moved after two nights to a better room. The location was noisy until late at night because the square in front of teh hotel was some sort of meeting point for young people/tourists. Overall, not too bad but the price was too high keeping in mind these missing facilities.
Perfect! Great location, good air con, everything you needed !
The location was fantastic, the room was perfect.i felt like home will defenitly go back everytime i want to relax nd have a nice vacation.i highly recomend this hotel. Excellent value for the money.
Mattress! I've slept so good there.
Awful smell in the room, we've ordered non-smoking area, but this one was definitly opposite. No good reception, no possibility to contact with the hotel's staff. My pretty barette was missed in some vague way:/ A great deal of stairs and no elevator, keep it in mind in case you have very heavy suitcases.
